Return to the Moon

I’m reading a wonderful book (Return to the Moon), an essay by Harrison H. Schmitt (former astronaut, the last man on the Moon with Apollo 17 mission); this is a citation from this book – words to be remembered:

“Whenever and however a Return to the Moon occurs, one thing is certain: that return will be historically comparable to the movement of our species out of Africa about 150,000 years ago. Further, if led by an entity representing the democracies of the Earth, a Return to the Moon to stay will be politically comparable to the first permanent settlement of North America by European immigrants.”

You know, we have to go back to the Moon. The sooner, the better. And Mr. Schmitt is the right man for tell us how this new frontier has to be tackled.

Twenty years after – in lavorazione

Ho finalmente concluso la stesura del mio mini saggio sulle repubbliche ex sovietiche, tempo quindi di darsi da fare per renderlo disponibile. Ho qualche ambizione sull’argomento, nel senso che questa volta vorrei riuscire a crearmi dei file decenti nei formati epub e mobi e di provare a collocarlo, in maniera gratuita, su amazon.com o su qualche piattaforma di diffusione.

Sto anche valutando se valga la pensa tradurlo in inglese e ripetere il processo sopra descritto, con il dubbio se voler rientrare o meno di qualche spesa mettendolo a una tariffa minima (tipo un dollaro o simili). Per me sarebbe la prima volta per entrambe le cose, una sorta di Rubicone psicologico da varcare. Voi cosa fareste al mio posto?

Eppur si muove, citazione probabilmente apocrifa attribuita a Galileo Galilei. Sono arrivato a una fase avanzata della prima stesura, spero di potervi fare una strenna natalizia!
